In the past, we have had beaver damage out by the lake. This is a product of the busy beaver.

Day 7: Blessed

This is Kansas! The weather is perfect! And as you can tell by the Oklahoma windmill in the background, NO WIND!! Almost unheard of.

Day 6: Book(s)

I have a shelf with some of the favorite books from my past.



They are guarded by my bibliophile mouse.

Day 4: Table

Today I spent in Oklahoma with my Dad. He had lab work at one Doctor’s office, CAT scan at Hospital then a return to the Doctor for results on all above! Started at 10:45 and got him back home about 4:45. In between we found some lunch!! – always a good thing!

Day 3: Red

I go across town to the “east” side for a Precept Bible Study with one of my friends.

Now Here is where I chase a rabbit.

My Doctor is also across town. Randy used to give me a hard time about driving “clear across town” to go to the Doctor!  My answer was always, “Honey, you are talking to a woman that used to drive 17 miles just to get to Wal-Mart!!” He never had an answer to that!

Anyway, back to my Day 3: Red

Today my friend Carol and I went to Nu-way for lunch! (Nu-way is a story within itself! – a story for another time.)

I had been thinking “red” all day because of today’s prompt and VIOLA! As we were living the Nu-way – that actually looked like a diner, I found my red. Reminded me a bit of home!

Day 2: Breakfast

I always read “A Day in Christian History” while I am eating my breakfast!

Gives me extra nutrition for the day!

November Photo Challenge 2015

In November, our hearts turn towards Thanksgiving and Gratefulness. It's the way we are. I was interrupted in my last photo challenge and never finished it. - Alas - life got in the way. So here we are in the month of Thanksgiving and I am going to give it another try. Join me if you would like!

Sleep

The last two days have been hectic and I haven’t been home. Therefore, I didn’t have my list of “March Art Challenge.”  So, I need to make up for lost time!

Day 7: Sleep

Food

I’m cheating on this on a bit. My FAVORITE all  time food is Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy. (notice the caps – that is because this food is worth the respect!!) 

I’m a country girl, after all! Just give me this food with fresh sliced tomatoes and a big glass of sweetened iced tea – Bliss!!

Truthfully, though, I haven’t eaten that exact meal in several years. I haven’t fried chicken in years! And I don’t eat it often…

But I also like many other foods and one of them is a favorite from my childhood – bierocks.  Those I do fix every once in a while because my youngest son requests them! He can keep them in the freezer and take a couple to work with him for lunch.

This picture was taken the last time I made bierocks to take to Jay in Weatherford! Of course, I had to eat a few myself!!

Family

When I had children, I guess I just thought we would all “grow up” and live in the same town. That is a fairy tale and I am so very happy for those of you who get to live that fairy tale. But my family is spread from here to there and from there to here.

So, Family.

We live in Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Colorado!!

When one starts thinking of "Family" - one could go on and on!!

 I have many I consider my family who live all around the States - Vince and Deb, Tom and Karen, Steve, Robert and Minda - all the children from these in-laws!!

I also have Christian Brothers and Sisters that I am very close to and I am so thankful for. But for the sake of space!!! I only mentioned my immediate family in the pictures!!!

Kansas daffodils in March! It seems as if I get a picture of our daffodils every year covered in snow!! Some years they are even blooming. But not this year.

Day 1 prompt: Water

This weekend in Kansas we are in the ice age! So when I saw the prompt  “water” I had to chuckle!  I always think of the pond first when water is suggested for a photo – this time it wasn’t any different. I looked at that cold frozen pond and gave a shiver!
