Every Day I …..

Every day – at some time, I sit in this chair. I am either reading, watching TV with the husband, working on computer, or playing “words with friends” with the husband. This is “my” chair and he has his next to me. – and I almost always have coffee or a glass of water!

I saw the artwork of Jan Reckers over a year ago. I fell in love with her “ladies.” So through her website and following her on twitter, I try to keep up with her art shows.

She challenged me in such a way that I actually tried my own media art. God did not bless me with an artistic bone!!  : )  I can sew, that’s my only consolation!

Winter has hit the Midwest with a vengeance. Snow, ice, COLD temperatures. Many states have been hard hit. Cloudy skies are becoming the norm.





Fortunately we live in a neighborhood that has many mature trees. I’m so glad for this. I love trees.  Because of the trees, in the warmer months we have many birds. I love to spend time on the deck just listening to the music of the birds.  With the winter, our trees have lost their leaves. It’s always so interesting to see the spots where the birds have been living.

Day 5: on the counter

First of all, let me say I had a wonderful picture this morning. The husband made A. and I biscuits and gravy for breakfast and I got a great picture. Then in ‘brenda’ fashion, I accidently erased all the pictures from my camera… It’s not the first time….

So, since all biscuits and all gravy had been eaten by the time I did the erasing, I had to come up with another idea.. and it is NOT as good as the first one!!

P.S. don't judge me... I'm taking down my Christmas decorations - tomorrow!

First of all, let me say, anything that has the word “organize” included makes my heart beat faster!! I LOVE to organize. I love to have things organized. So this Tarifold Desktop Reference Set was one of my very favorite Christmas gifts!!

Day 1: a goal

I KNOW!!!! I just turned 60! And here it is my birthday month AGAIN!

Last year I did a photo challenge for the month of my birthday and wanted to do something similar this year. I found another photo challenge but I also found a Faith Challenge that I thought looked interesting. So, I decided to do both.

So, day 1 of my photo challenge is: A Goal

My goals for this birthday month is to enjoy taking pictures and growing my faith through Scripture.
